good

it runs smoothly and solve the issue about email notification on ‘mail’ of apple.

Glitchy

When I initially installed this app, everything ran smoothly and very efficiently— least to say, I was more than satisfied with the quality and convience of the this service! However, after only about a week of usage, it became very glitch: I would click and nothing would happen; I would try typing in the search bar, but no text would appear— the exact same thing happens when typing up an email; scrolling intermittently froze and would only start moving when I directly clicked on the scroll bar, but would then continue to freeze and not scroll beyond a certain point. It seems as though these problems only arose after a week of usage, but before that everything was completely functional

Looks nicer then the old app

Not really much to say other than that this app looks nicer then the old one. So far I haven’t had any issues. Its worth noting that I only use the mobile-view option. In the full view you get a permanent “Go to Inbox” button that if you click doesn’t work. You don’t get that in the mobile view, and I liked the mobile view better for a menubar thing anyway. Still it would be a big improvement if they added support for the new Google Inbox view.

Useful but stopped working

I have used this for a while and it works great, but it just recently stopped supporting inbox and gives the notification that the browser needs to be updated. Aside from that, I really love having the convenience of this application.

Where the heck is the darn thing

I don’t use this, I use MailTab for Gmail. However, I want to keep a copy in my back-up Applications File on another disk. Go for Gmail used to install itself in the Applications Folder like it should and as all other applications do. This one installs in god knows where. I can’t find it and neither can Apple’s Search Function. The only way to turn it on or off is through the App Store. It acts like a Trojan Horse. A big thumbs down here!

Hellooooooo???? Any body still working at the office?

Before I upgraded my to El Captain, everything was running smoothly. Then after the upgrade glitches everywhere. The app only appears to work for a few moments after you open it. If you open the app and wait two minutes before trying to access email or switching between accounts, for get it. At first I blamed Apple. I thought the company was up to its old tricks again, just misbehaving like always. But its been well over six months since I upgraded and I’m still having the same issues. This is ridiculous. Fiplab I am about done with being patient. You’ve had plenty of time to fix this. Never have I ever used an app where you have to restart it everytime you want you use it! I see the latest update was December 18th, and you still haven’t been able to fix this? Really? If I could give you less than one star I would. Absolutely the worst app ever.

Great app

Like using it, nice to have Gmail in it’s own window/app. Thanks!

Slooooooooooow

Really sloooooooooooow. Most times I launch it I get the “oops” message, “trying in xxx seconds (or minutes)” message, etc. I seldom have problems with gmail when logged in via a browser. This is cr*p

Easy to use !

Good !

Clean, reliable…and I love that it’s in my menu bar and not in a browser tab!

I’m on El Capitan, and I’ve had no problems with this app at all. It’s clean, reliable, and what really excites me is that I can still use Google Hangouts within the app! I do notice however, that when I am in Photoshop—I cannot see the app in my menu bar because it’s buried by Adobe’s own menu items. It’s a simply Command + Tab to get to Chrome to get back to it, but it’s definitely not a deal breaker. The notifications have a pleasant sound and don’t last long, which is a nice feature. I can still switch between multiple accounts within the app—just overall a great app!

go for gmail

I like having an icon to pull up my email instead of starting my google. It gives me more freedom to send as well as get mail. Thanks

love it!

This app is great. I dont need my browswer and can keep this app open and running.

Good product

Had not a problem. Works great.

Sax2cool

Gmail is way better than Yahoo!

This app barely works

The app constantly freezes, loses focus on the screen (even when its set to be on top of all windows), and has lts of funcational issues with slowness, wrong inbox counts and general lack of capabilities. The auto is unresposive to support requests, and this one is worth skipping.

Works great

And it’s free! I’m very glad I installed this. Most my email is Gmail and I like the instant notifications without having to use Mac Mail.

App not saving Files

I love the app and it has been working great, but now all of a sudden I cannot save files out of the app anymore. I keep getting the same message of the app and it does not have permiossion to save here. Is anyone else having this issue, or know how I can fix it? I am new to Mac, so it may be a quick setting fix. Thanks!

This has ads now??

So this app now displays ads for other apps? You gotta be kidding me. I do not mind paying for my software, but this is terrible. Please stop doing this, so I don’t have to uninstall.

VERY MUCH A PAIN IN THE BUTT APP!!!!!

I downloaded this app onto my iMac, after loving it on my iPhone and iPad. If I select an email, I have to click somewhere else for that email to highlight as selected, THEN when I try to move/delete that email, the app will not let me scroll to the folder that I want to move it to nor will it let me delete it. Works GREAT on my iPhone and iPad. Guess I am going back to working on my email via the internet, on my iMac. This app needs some serious debugging.

Good ones!

I have apple mail and gmail. And I love it when it’s not mixed ! Work exactly what I wanted and I not need even to close mail - just click next what I want!
