this isn’t really even an app

Basically what this is a web browser that can only access one page. There is no interface other than the one that google devs made. If you like the way this is laid out, just go to the gmial website. It is exactly the same. I guess that doesn’t make this product actively offensive. Nor is the app entirely pointless. I understand that some people might not want to use their web browser for email because they might get distracted on the way. That said, there are many far better email clients out there.

The bottom line is that this app could have been made in about 10 minutes by someone without any programming experience. I think there may even be an official XCode tutorial on how to make a web browser that could be easily converted into this app. If you really like the gmail interface but don’t want to use a web browser, this might be the app for you. Otherwise, do not reward such pathetic workmanship.
